We work to generate analytical and methodological tools as well as tools oriented to advocacy and political action.<\/h2>\n

Research<\/h1>\n

Constructing collective maps for transformation.<\/h3>\n

To research is to refuse to be satisfied with what we already know, because probably we don\u2019t actually know it as fully as we think: there are always things that shift and facets we haven\u2019t perceived. To research is to collectively draw maps that serve to situate us and to situate our political undertakings. It means using\u2014with both rigor and flexibility\u2014various methodologies that help us comprehend what we need to be looking at and\u2014above all\u2014to see those things that have been obscured because their invisibility is useful to the unsustainable and unjust systems we aspire to change.<\/p>\n

In XXK we participate in research processes with the intention that these form part of broader strategies of action and impact. We like to think of research as a tool at the service of processes and subjects that seek to transform reality, working towards greater wellbeing and the construction of positive ways of being together.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Education and training are living processes through which we (re)construct our relationship to the world and the complex and dynamic network comprised of its inhabitants. To understand this world and have an impact upon it, we must approach the unknown with a spirit of curiosity and be open to changes that require us to adopt new tools and ways of looking.<\/p>\n

In XXK we facilitate spaces for learning from a feminist perspective that allow us to understand reality (and ourselves as part of it), offering us keys for transformation that we might apply in different fields of our lives. We make sure that the educational spaces and processes we help build are adapted to the identities and needs of those who request them: no two processes are the same. We pay great attention not only to the contents of our training sessions but also to the dynamics we propose; in this way we pursue pedagogical quality and encourage participants to make the tools we share their own.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Political and conceptual frameworks<\/h1>\n

Shaping the way we see.<\/h3>\n

What are the lenses that shape how we see? The theoretical and political frameworks through which we attempt to understand and shape our surroundings are never neutral. They determine what we can see and therefore what we propose to do. In a complex and dynamic world it is imperative that we constantly revise our frameworks to incorporate new lines of analysis and intervention, remedy those things that confuse us rather than nourish us, create dialogue between different kinds of feminism and critical perspectives, and connect broad frameworks with specific contexts.<\/p>\n

In XXK we foster an ongoing reflection on these questions, preferably through collective work that supports those who seek to build from different perspectives, irrespective of their specific fields of action (social organizations, public administrations, academic departments, etc.).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

We inhabit a world in transition, which is an open invitation to take part in determining the direction of change. This is not only a historic opportunity; it is a responsibility. While politics certainly includes questions of public policy and institutions, it also goes far beyond these to include actions ranging from the level of everyday life to the level of great global processes. The subversion of heteropatriarchal structures is interwoven with action against the multiple axes of privilege and oppression that give shape to This Scandalous Thing.<\/p>\n

At XXK we facilitate the design and development of incisive strategies and tools in response to the needs and interests of the collectives with which we are working. We believe that organizing collectively and making political change is possible in all that we do, in all the processes we mentor and in all the different spaces in which we work.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Mentoring<\/h1>\n

Transforming ways of being and doing through collective practice.<\/h3>\n

How does the human network of our organization operate? What relationships do we establish between and amongst ourselves, with others, and with the ecosystems we inhabit? What tools do we use for seeing and what techniques do we apply in our work? Do we feel we need to change something? Adopt a new approach? Revise certain habits or shift directions?<\/p>\n

At XXK we mentor collectives (associations, social movements, NGOs, public administrations, etc.) in different moments of analysis and planning, enabling them to build organizations, human groups and ways of working that are more livable, that reflect feminist perspectives, and that are oriented towards organizational change. The process is as important as the results, and the means must be aligned with the ends. XXK shares tools and timely support with organizations that feel they cannot confront these questions alone.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
